Our Team at the 28th IACCP Congress in Leuven

From 14 to 18 July 2026, our team—Magdalena Żemojtel-Piotrowska, Jarosław Piotrowski, Piotr Radkiewicz, and Bartłomiej Nowak—participated in the 28th Congress of the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology (IACCP), held in Leuven, Belgium.

During the congress, we presented findings from our international research projects in two symposia. The first symposium,  "Cross-cultural Views on Political Ideologies and Ingroup Narcissistic Identity," featured Professor Vassilis Saroglou as the discussant. We also contributed to the invited symposium "Conspiracy Beliefs and Individual Dispositions Across Cultures," organized by Professor Saroglou.

The first symposium showcased findings from the international component of the National Science Centre (NCN) OPUS project (No. 2024/55/B/HS6/00282), led by Magdalena Żemojtel-Piotrowska.

The presentations included:

• Piotr Radkiewicz discussed cross-cultural variation in the relationship between left-wing authoritarianism (LWA) and right-wing authoritarianism (RWA).

• Magdalena Żemojtel-Piotrowska presented findings on cross-cultural differences in the relationships among collective narcissism(s), right-wing authoritarianism (RWA), and social dominance orientation (SDO).

• Bartłomiej Nowak examined macro-level correlates of agentic and communal collective narcissism in 77 countries.

• Jarosław Piotrowski presented research on the associations between the Dark Triad personality traits and COVID-19-related conspiracy beliefs in 50 countries.

The congress provided an excellent opportunity to disseminate our research findings, strengthen international collaborations, and exchange ideas with scholars from around the world working in the field of cross-cultural psychology.
